    V.good graphic/post. It is a joke that there are over 800 members of the House of Lords and rising, and they aren’t accountable in any way.

    However the current proposals for the reforms are rather questionable!

      Thanks, wish I could claim it as mine but copied it from the great Unlock Democracy Facebook page. And I completely agree with you, I’m not a fan of the current proposals but I think some reform is better than doing nothing. It’s over a decade since the last proper reform of the Lords so this is merely a continuation of the start Labour implemented early in their regime, but failed to build upon.
